More frequent and rewarding anomalies

So You can find an anomaly in the game.
If You are lucky even two.
It would be really nice If you could get more of them. Like They would pop up randomly and They would be valuable, like rather valuable, not just "You get 50 creds" valuable.
I want to discover ships, Yeah I know currently You can get a ship from an anomaly, It even happened to me once, and You can get a tech which is really good, but There are just too few anomalies out there.
And I'm speaking here custom ships.
You know, old, derelict cruisers or battleships, age old Titans and such. Like You could make these ships have a custom name and some short backstory.
Like You've found a cruiser, You read the log and It turns out It was a pirate ship. Something like that.
They could even have a custom skin and wouldn't be restricted to be a ship of your empire. You could get a Mrrshan crusier as a Terran for example.
Aaaand. Aaaand, You need to scale the rewards as the game progresses, So You'd get like a thousand or two credits or bigger ships and the like.
Aaaaand it would also take time to investigate them, like 5 turns during which another race could get there and fight for it.
It would shake up the game quite a bit.
Like You get an anomaly at the border of your empire and the AI starts excavating it and You'd have a choice whether to let them and take the chance that They get something ridiculous like a Titan When you only have battleships or attack them and take the risk that it will escalate into an interstellar war.
Do stuff like They did with Beyond Earth. And Civ V. Shake up the game and make it more fun.

Seconded :-)
I was personally asking for a new class of ship, Science Ship that you would need to undertake scientific missions during the game. For example you discover an inactive ancient Titan in deep space from the anomaly, on inspection you learned it jettisoned its command module somewhere along this flight path, giving you 6 nav points to explore. Your science ship takes so many turns to investigate these, say 3 turns to explore a nav point. Once you find the command module, you can bring your science ship to the Titan and activate it. You can also have Science Ships build research at various locations on the map, like Study Gas Giant for 5 turns, generates 5 RP cost is 5BC of funding for the project.
Another anomaly idea, you find an ancient being in stasis in deep space, you get a stasis pod spaceship. You need X technology to revive the being. Once you do it counts down 5 turns and the being is revived, giving you a new leader that does something really cool.
I would love to see certain anomalies and missions unlock as the turn count progresses to keep it more interesting during the mid and late games.
Missions could be unlocked through various interactions, such as via your science adviser on discovering a tech or through visiting anomalies.

Thirded (what?)
Many good points and I was thinking the same thing. Especially in regards to derelict ships. So much can be done with this concept but I think the most important part would be to make it feel special. As it is now you get a ship that looks like one of your ships with same or worse(!) tech in it. It should not look like any of the main races ships and it should always contain the best technology in the game. To balance it out the ship size should scale with a turn counter.
Imagine finding long abandoned antaran ships. I bet you'd take good care of those ![]()
