Wishes of German players

Dear Master of Orion developers! The German community forums of my YouTube channel has gathered a list of wishes we have encountered. We hope this will help you to improve the game.

 

These are wishes that have become apparent in our community. They make exclude each other because they originate from different people with different taste. Further we have added a subjective marker. Underlined means that the wish is (supposedly) more complicated to fulfill or would mean a bigger change for the game while not bold means the wish is (supposedly) easier to fulfill. Maybe some wishes have already been fulfilled.


 

1. tactical battles for Multiplayer

2. more possiblities to act in a tactical battle

3. detailed research progress bar, please do not only display the required amount of rounds

4. implement more startravel technologies, not only normal and instable Starlane,

f.example: a lategame possibility to travel freely without using starlanes / optional setting to travel freely

5. load game option for private games

6. implement a travel distance for ships according to technology progress

7. show already constructed buildings permanently while in planetary overview menu

8. better overview while zooming on galactic map, empire beloniging of systems and planets are not always recognizeable in all zoom levels0

9. research progress bar is confortable but gives not enough information

10. prevent colony-spam and early-rush by penalizing the amount of colonies a faction can have


 

11. make food and production transportable between different systems too (via freighters)

12. display time and implement alarm clock

13. mandatory break option

14. complete free interchangeable colour and design for every race and player

15. shipbuilder is not comfortable, please implement uncomplicated way to pick system and weapons without a submenu

16. shipdesigner Information should be comprehensible

17. ship designs: front/nose and rear/back should destinguishable

18. design option for outposts and starbases

19. spy options at outpost and starbases to get information on weaponary

20. tactical battles with turn based system


 

21. more weapon option in ship designer

22. music fine tuing

23. display starbases in planetary and galactic view

24. possiblity to move more than one population point in the colony menu

25. more alternative ship designs

26. different grafic style, some complain about comic style

27. Multiplayer: after clicking finish turn all functions are blocked, even to gather informations while waiting, please unblock

28. display health bar of ships is unsuffitient, numbers via tooltip

29. possiblity to fight on starlanes, bypassing especially on long starlanes is highly proplematic

30. galactic map is fixed, implement a possiblity to rotate the map (MoO3)


 

31. fog of war: it is not distinguishable where it starts and ends

32. tactical battle: retreat option

33. ship design: camouflage options and technologies

34. holografic dummies to confuse enemy

35. more diplomatic options (such as

36. racial behaviour while in diplomatic audiences

37. real 3D battles (as seen in SotS2)

38. imperial overview should show planets with moons

39. galaxy game setup option more planets with low and high-gravity trait

40. random enemy game setup option


 

41. AI overhaul for colony building, ship design and space fights

42. display planets with special intergalactic/interplanetary buildings

43. option to close down a colony

44. show planetary defense systems on galactic map mode (maybe tool tip)

45. show animated invasion battle

46. racial traits and lore are too loose ?

47. game setup option "disable bombs"

48. display planetary shield defense against bombing/attacks

49. possibility to slow enemy ships on nearby starlanes via technology/racial trait

50. possiblity to terraform planets with vulcanic biomes


 

51. german translation for "barren" use not "unfruchtbar" but one of the following option "öde"/"kahl"/"dürr"/"unwirtlich".

52. implement androids as population as in Moo2

53. improve starting positions of factions

54. improve discount for 5xshipproduction

55. conquered population points should keep their initial traits

56. transporters for tanks

57. display battle weight of starbases, outpost and planetary defense

58. display more information on trade agreement, show lenght in diplomatic screen

59. AI behaviour tends to go down too easy as good relation actions are not memorized long enough

60. display information on technologies, buildings and outposts which influence diplomatic behaviour


 

61. enable planetary tax rate

62. to few random space anomalies

63. show random events in log

64. pirates disappear in mid game even when enough systems are available

65. more information on planetary anomalies such as gold, gems

66. add indiginous planetary races as in MoO2

67. enable barter options when ai offers player a deal

68. display calculation of pollution generation/mouseover

69. tactical battle balance rocket/torpedo lifespan

70. enable minefields at warppoints and planetary orbits


 

71. races should start farther away from each other

72. AI should make use of bigger ships than cruisers too

73. AI should not declare war and then never attack

74. against a much stronger opponent AI should accept reasonable peace offers

75. please add the Antarans into the game

76. video perspektive in tactic battle should be less cinematic and more from third person perspective

77. allow more than one death star

78. should be possible for a game to run longer than 500 turns max
