Adler's impressions and ideas

I am playing MoO series games since the original game came out. MoO 2 is my favourite. That having said I have to add these impressions:
1. BUG report: I had twice a crash while trying to leave the game.
2. Tactical combat: This is a must. You need a combat system like in MoO 1 or 2. You have only relative few ships available, so this is possible and needed.
3. You need system colony pods to colonize the galaxy sooner. I think the AI is still having troubles with colonizing, as they lack in settling. I am playing a game in turn 300+ and not every planet system is occupied.
4. AI lacks in ground combat. The navy just destroys all colonies.
5. Alkari AI made in my game a catastrophic error. A colony they built on the other side of the Bulrathi empire was annihilated and resettled by them. So they sent their fleet to this colony and destroyed it as well. Unfortunately for them the Bulrathi fleet took out the other colonies, except Altair, which I conquered.
6. Why is it possible only to send Marines out? One could also send armour out. Here one could have a look on the system MoO 3 had.
That's for now. I will post more once I have other remarks.

Okay, a few more remarks:
7. I think each race should get their own base graphics as well.
8. I would like to get the ability to name my ships. So having a USS Enterprise would be cool.
9. Now it is possible to send your fleet deep into the galaxy early on. Theoretical at least you can fly from one edge to the other. I think it is better to have this limited like in the old MoO and MoO 2 days.
