Currently we don't have any plans for hot-seat functionality.

What the actual %$&!!???

You wont implement HotSeat in a Turn Based 4x game, where the most fun to play it is playing HotSeat with a friend? I want my money back! I thought this is a no brainer.. i didnt even care to think that there is a possibility that there wont be HotSeat. I am in a loss of words! What the hell are you thinking?

Seems like nowadays GameDevelepors have become a pile of money grabbing garbage. 20 years ago there wouldnt have been ANY chance that a game like this came on market without any sort of Local Multiplayer. None.

I can only imagine the meeting where the decision against HotSeat is made.

"Will we implement HotSeat? Its a natural choice for such a game" -"How much does it cost?" -"Well not THAT much, its a turnbased game, you know... smth like 20 bucks" -"NOPE. Gamers are Sociopaths who dont see the light, do you think any of them has any friend in a real life he will actually play this game with? 20 Bucks, are you insane? YOU'RE FIRED"

I. Want. My. Money. Back.

You can if you bought it from Steam and played less than two hours. If not, then good luck in getting a refund for a game because it misses a feature that it was never advertised to have.

I will definitely forward your feedback on this, as we are still early in the early access, there is always a chance it can be implemented if the demand is there.

Hello!

I can only speak from my own expierience playing MoO2, CIV4 , Disciples 2 and endless hours of Homm3 with my brother and or friends. But...
We always used Hotseat. Even if onlineplay would have been better in some circumstances, I have only played Homm3 Online 2-3 times and all the rest of my playtime in all these games was always hotseat.
I really think it takes away from games like these if you cant sit in a room with some friends and take your turns.

I also think being able to play on the same PC makes it easier to get friends into the game. I probaly would have never played Master of Orion, or any of the other mentioned games if it werent for someone to show me how they work and why they are so mcuh fun. Because they are very hard to get into and turn based games dont have that much appeal for people who never played them before.

I am aware that this is just my personal experience, but i think ALL turn based games benefit greatly from hotseat as the online play is very hard to get into.

Hope you take a second look at this and I'm very much looking forward to when the game is done.

demand is there ! actually demand is here ^^. also the play by mail option (or any other that would allow to log in once a day and play my turn - with a friend +10h from my location)

I demand a Hotseat too! This was the greatest. Having a friend come over, eating, drinking and conquering the universe.

i would like Hotseat too!

I'm admin of the mp community the-battlefield.com and we are playing much games with hotseat/pbem!

I think we can create a big community when we have this possibility.

To handle a MP community with a online game time with 4 hours or more is hard.

So I specifically registered on your atrocious website which doesn't recognize your e-mail and password right after you [edited]register and doesn't allow you to log in this forum if you're not from europe to say that hotseat is very much expected, I will only consider buying the game if it features hotseat. And make shipbattles turn-based while you're at it. Thanks.

I was planning to buy it today, but I won't, because of the missing hotseat mode.

Hotseat was one of the big fun arguments for MOO2, it gave me kind of a table top game feeling.

You realy should consider to implement it again, also to adress the nostalgic feeling better -that can't be so difficult.

I came to the forum to see if the game is worth buying. First thing I did was to search "hotseat" to see how well it's implemented. Well, seems like the game is not worth my time or money at the moment. I'll come back in a couple of weeks to check again. Gotta say I'm a bit disappointed.

I already own this game and it was a bad surprise to find out that there is no hotseat option in mutiplayer...

Definetely Hotseat needs to be added!!
