First impressions are good, haven't run into any major issues yet. Runs buttery-smooth on my i7-4720HQ/GTX960m/16GB on maximum settings/4xAA.

 

Bugs/errors:

Alt-tabbing during gameplay sometimes results in crash.

 

Optimizations:

- Would like to be able to turn off the advisor, it's great to have him around first time but becomes annoying after that.

- Auto-end turn would be nice as well.

- Top left info bar should show food surplus/shortage as well

 

Will keep playing, so expect more in here later on. All in all, great job already!

Optimization:

- The top level is useless detail-wise, but one below it's zoomed too far in, so it's hard to follow what's going on. Add extra zoom level(s) between top (most zoomed out) level and the one step below that, or (preferrably) make zooming seamless.

Feature request:

- Steam cloud saves would be a very nice addition, for both backup and being able to play across devices.

Gameplay wise what are your thoughts on :-

 

The tech tree

 

The ship design feature

 

The star lanes

 

The GNN robot stop/start voice (may first and so far only pet hate)

Tech tree is alright, but I think research is too fast. I would also like to see that you can only pick one thing from a node, instead of getting all. Ship design also works as intended, but  think the screens themselves could be refined a bit (esp. modifier icons, etc.). Star lanes are fine with me, they add more depth to travel, choke points/key systems, etc. The GNN robot is less annoying than the advisor. The Psilon one repeating the same line over and over makes me want to have an option to execute him. ;)
