Hi all,
I am playing it through and in some colony some population are on strike. any idea how to deal with strikes? thanks.

You can solve Strikes via Buildings which raise the Moral. But first you will have to research them. The Buildings are as followed:
Building Research
- Government Support Facility - Government
- Holosimulator - Optronics
- Pleasure Dome - Moleculartronics
Also Polutionreduction helps. In Addition Strikes also happen when you settle on a World which your Race is not suited for.
Example:
I was playing as Alkari. The Alkari are not suited for settling on Low Gravity Worlds. You will be able to settle on these Worlds but with a Malus of Reduced Production. And that was show as a Striking Population. I was able to compensate the Low Gravity by researching "Gravity Fields" and gaining the Building Gravity Converter which removes the Malus for Low and Heavy Gravity Planets. Due to this the Striking Population started working again. ![]()

Lowering taxes is also a good option.
When I see people on strike I ussually built a colony ship to get them to another site, win-win ;-)
