been following this game quite a bit and today is the first time i have to say something.

been reading Exploration Mechanics and have to say geeze man blackholes are not wormholes.

nothing gets out of a blackhole other then Hawking radation why choose something like this??

That put me off more than anything else before. Why put such dumbassery in the game? It's not freaking 1940's...

If they didn't have Star Lanes in, then they wouldn't have to make black holes an actual thing you can visit. They have to make them visitable, because otherwise they'd be only decoration and nothing else.

There are plenty of theories concerning the idea travel through black holes but they are just theories no one actually knows what happens at the center of a black whole as the laws of physics break down there.

 

However popular science fiction, television and pop culture have come to accept "wormholes" as the popular method of travel. So yeah perhaps more people would have been happier with "wormholes" linking parts of the map rather then black holes, but either way they will introduce a tactical element to consider in your game play.
