Why is the cap on the number of AI opponents so low? I like playing on small maps where every system and planet is important, where you really have to fight for each system, but the game simply doesn't let me play how I want. I don't fancy controlling a million planets all over the galaxy on Large or Huge maps because the game becomes tedious, and I don't enjoy playing against only a single few AIs either which I'm only allowed to do on Medium (it is capped at 5). Heck, not even on a Huge map setting are we allowed more than 7 AI opponents. Why, why and oh why?

 

Please let us decide the number of AI opponents for ourselves! This is such a crucial game setting and not letting the players choose this more freely for themselves is a really bad mistake. I'd love to play against i.e. 10 AI:s on a Medium map.
